Dr Avnish Seth
Dr Avnish Seth is Head, Department of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at Manipal Hospital, Dwarka, New Delhi and Head of Manipal Organ Sharing & Transplant (MOST). An alumnus of Armed Forces Medical College, Pune (1977-81), he completed M.D.(Medicine) from Pune University in 1989 and D.M.(Gastroenterology) from PGIMER Chandigarh in 1995. With fellowships in Hepatology & Liver Transplantation (Birmingham, UK) and Advance GI Endoscopy & Endoscopic Ultrasound (South Carolina & Alabama, USA), he has served as Governing Council member for Indian Society of Gastroenterology (ISG) and Society of GI Endoscopy of India (SGEI). A recognized teacher for MBBS, DNB (Medicine) and currently DNB (Gastroenterology), he has over 100 publications to his credit. Dr Seth is member of Apex Technical Committee of National Organ & Tissue Transplant Organization (NOTTO) and member of Advisory Board of Multi Organ Harvesting Aid Network (MOHAN) Foundation. He is Chair of Expert Committee on ‘Ang Daan Yojana’, an initiative of Government of Haryana, India and is leading the Working Group on Donation after Circulatory Death (DCD) in India. He was invited to deliver a talk at Geneva on ‘Organ donation in Asia’ in 2017. He was invited as ‘Champion of organ donation in India’ for the ‘Tribute to Life’ project during Commonwealth Games at Birmingham in UK, 2022.
