The Chairman “CHAIN OF DIPS INSTITUTIONS” S. Gurbachan Singh was born on 10 March, 1946 in Distt. Layallpur, Pakistan. He had his basic education at Dhilwan. A man with humble beginning, had great dreams for the people of his native land. He wanted quality education, which he himself was deprived of, to rekindle and ignite the young minds of Dhilwan. It was with this mission and passion, that he fulfilled his dream, in the form of opening the first premier educational branch at Dhilwan. The sapling planted with dreams and aspiration of providing quality education soon grew into a full- fledged tree christened “Chain of DIPS Institutions” having its premier CBSE/PSEB affiliated schools and Degree, Education, Polytechnic and Management Colleges. Besides this, he was also a philanthropic person and has played keen role in taking up social responsibilities. The mass wedding of girls belonging to poor families, the education of poor and destitute are some of the social responsibilities he has shouldered. With the qualities of head and heart and goodwill of all stakeholders in his success story, the name of Chain of DIPS institutions touched new milestones of academic excellence. He is in fact the dedicated spirit behind imparting direction and substance to the mighty task of setting up these esteemed Institutions. To him quality education is like a polestar that guides an individual not only in solving question papers but also pacifying the various hardships of practical life. It was his fervent desire to produce star 'DIPSIANS' who would be physically stout, mentally alert, socially effective, morally upright and intellectually genius. He was a dynamic leader dedicated to public service, and his amiable personality and endearing virtues, coupled with humane and earthly approach to the educational requirements of rural masses, have shot him to tremendous prominence. To say that he was a rare person with an educational bent of mind will be an understatement. He was in fact, inspiration personified. With his blessings, the name of 'DIPS Institutions' shall definitely brighten, and brighten till eternity. .
